Being a old as F, Mudvayne was such a breath of fresh air when they hit the airwaves. Nu-metal was fast approaching parody point and here comes "Dig" . To this day its probably one of the last truly heavy songs to chart on radio and MTV. LD50 changed the game at the time. Unfortunately they minimized bassist and drummer each subsequent album, the 2 things that made them unique, and became blander and blander. But to this day LD50 STILL hits hard, legendary album

Definitely need more nu metal content. Im a huge fan of Deftones, Incubus, early Mudvayne/Disturbed, Early AAF, Early Korn. Seen many of them live. Papa Roach also had a great live show. I guess more of the Alternative metal side than the pure Nu metal side. Where would you rank Incubus?

4:30 - I want to expand/correct something I said in the livestream about Coal Chamber: So Coal Chamber was sort of Sharon Osbourne's pet project; she was their manager. She got them booked to open for the Insane Clown Posse for what was supposed to be a two-month tour IIRC, but ICP booted them off the tour after only two shows because "they weren't a draw" according to ICP. This pissed off Sharon, which led to a feud between the two and it culminated in a rather infamous appearance on the Howard Stern Show where Sharon bet ICP that their upcoming album would not clear 200K sales and they would be dropped from their label. Sharon lost the bet and has never paid up.

definition of Nu Metal can be a bit shakey (with the whole rap metal/ nu metal / alt metal thing) but if you're gonna include linkin park you gotta include Breaking Benjamin

lol you were way too generous with Disturbed imo. Not outright cringe or painful to listen to like other bands but very forgettable, for me at least... The only nu-metal bands I can actually sit down to listen to and enjoy are all of SOAD's discography and the first 3 Slipknot albums. Those are genuinely solid albums. I absolutely love Slipknot's self titled, really cool how they mixed borderline death metal with elements of drum and bass/electronic music!
